Howard joined Halliday Financial in 2007. He currently serves as a Financial Advisor and Regional Vice President. Additionally, Howard trains advisors who are new to the industry or to the company and at times serves as a Registered Principal.
Howard thrives on working with clients, guiding them to their personal goals and vision through strong communication. Howard has the ability to listen to what people’s needs are, and to develop a plan around them. Because of this strength, he is able to effectively gain clients’ trust and build long lasting, strong relationships. Howard’s mission is to allow clients to feel comfortable with the financial planning process.
Although he has worked with many individuals and families, Howard also manages several employer-sponsored plans. Retirement and education planning are two of Howard’s areas of focus. He also manages investment portfolios while finding ways to protect one’s wealth.
In 2012, Howard received Halliday Financial’s Founders Award, recognizing him for his commitment and dedication to the firm.
Background and education:
Howard holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree from Rutgers University. He holds his Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses, as well his New York State Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license.
After beginning his now 18 year plus career in financial services as Financial Advisor at Waddell & Reed, Howard then spent many years with the Cohoes Savings Bank, Hudson River Bank and Trust, and First Niagara Bank.
Additional information:
Howard is a member and past President of the Business Referral Network Group, and past President of the Cornell Club of the Greater Capital District, where he is currently serving as the Scholarship Co-Chair. Education is very important to Howard, and so he enjoys working with his local college alumni club. Being involved in the Cornell Club allows him to stay connected with his alma mater.
Howard is also involved with the Leadership Tech Valley as a member of its steering committee, enabling him to participate with the next class of area leaders.
Howard lives in Albany with his wife Christine and daughter Olivia. He enjoys traveling, photography, and is an avid music enthusiast.
